What Fury Brings—My Next Release

I realized that I’ve been terrible about updating my News Page. I announced my next book and have not shared here, so let’s talk about WHAT FURY BRINGS. First, here’s the cover, illustrated by the supremely talented Martina Fačková.

WHAT FURY BRINGS is my debut novel for adults and a spicy romantasy about a kingdom that has a shortage of men, so women must kidnap husbands from neighboring kingdoms. The women of this kingdom have also been blessed by their patron goddess to be physically stronger than men.

How spicy is it? Everybody’s chili pepper rating system is different. I’d give it a 3.5 out of 5. There are four sexy scenes. There is also a list of trigger warnings in the Author’s Note at the beginning of the book, so please be aware of those before starting.

Why did I write a novel for adults when all of my books have been YA so far? I’ve actually had the idea for this book for a while, but I didn’t want to write it because I was worried my adult books would get shelved in the YA section. I didn’t want teenagers to stumble across them. But with powerhouse authors like Sarah J. Maas, Jennifer L. Armentrout, and Rebecca Yarros paving the way, adult books by female authors are now finally being shelved in the adult fantasy section where they belong. Now felt like a good time to finally tell this story.

This one releases September 23rd. You can preorder wherever books are sold. The first edition will have gorgeous sprayed edges and a surprise under the dust jacket, which you can see in this IG post.
